Chakalaka Chicken Sishebo

Preparation time: 20 Minutes
Cooking time: 50 Minutes
Serves: 4-6


6 Chicken Pieces
½ Cup (125 ml) of Cooking Oil
1 Onion, finely chopped
2 Green Peppers, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. (15 ml) of Rajah Flavourful & Mild Curry Powder
6 Tomatoes, grated
4 Carrots, peeled and grated
1 Tin of Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce
1 Knorrox Beef Stock Cube


  1. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pot and fry the chicken pieces until well browned on all sides. Remove from the pot and set aside.
  2. Heat the remaining oil and fry the onions and green pepper until soft.
  3. Add the Rajah Flavourful & Mild Curry Powder and fry for one minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the grated carrots, tomatoes and baked beans and stock cube and mix well. Return the chicken to the pot.
  5. Allow the chicken to cook for 30 – 35 minutes on a medium heat or until cooked through.
  6. Stir the pot every five minutes to ensure that it does not stick, and becomes smooth.
  7. Serve with pap.
