2 cups chana or lentils, soaked overnight
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp Rajah Medium
Salt and cracked black pepper, to taste



  1. Make the dhal by cooking the chana or lentils in a pot filled with 6 cups of water for about 30 minutes or until soft.
  2. In a frying pan, saute the onions and Rajah spice together until the onions are soft and the spices are fragrant.
  3. Once the chana or lentils are soft, stir the onion mix into the pot and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Season well.
