Short Rib Sishebo

Cooking time: 55 Minutes
Serves: 6 to 8


1kg Short ribs
1 tsp. (5ml) Robertsons Barbecue Spice
1 tsp. (5ml) Robertsons Steak & Chops Spice
1 tsp. (5ml) Robertsons Chicken Spice
1 tsp. (5ml) Knorr Brown Onion Soup
1 Tbsp. (15ml) Knorr Minestrone and Mixed Herbs Soup
½ cup Water
1 Tbsp. (15ml) Oil
1 Onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. (15ml) Rajah All-in-One Curry Powder
1 Knorrox Beef Stock Cube
1 tsp. (5ml) Robertsons Cumin
1 tsp. (5ml) Robertsons Garlic Flakes
1 red, yellow and green pepper, chopped
1 Carrot, peeled and sliced
Nuts, crushed



  1. Spice your meat with the Robertsons spices and leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix your soup with water and set aside. Fry onion in a little cooking oil with the Rajah All-in-One Curry Powder then add the Knorrox cube when your onion is tender.
  3. Add cumin and then the meat and allow to fry with the onions. Add garlic flakes.
  4. Add your carrots and peppers when your meat is well cooked. Finally add your soup mix and allow to simmer.
  5. Fry your nuts separately with chicken spice and garnish the dish.
  6. You now have your perfect Sishebo.
